Product Description

The design cues of the C10 Aviator Mk I are clearly inspired by the B-Uhren watches of the 1940's. The triangular reference point at 12 O'clock and the large, diamond shaped crown are dead give-aways. However, the spirit of this latest addition to the Christopher Ward aviation series is rooted in the pioneering airmen of the early years of the 20th century.

The 42mm case of the C10, although not small, hits the sweet spot for most wearers and is certainly more in tune with the era before the over-sized pilot watch became the norm.
The reverse of the case carries a deep-etched engraving of the iconic Sopwith Camel bi-plane together with the Latin inscription,'mea anima est in caelum' which translates as 'my soul is in the sky' - a sentiment we feel would have been approved of by those courageous men in their flying machines.

A superb Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement provides the soul for the C10, guaranteeing that time will take wing, time and time again.

A modern interpretation of a classic watch
Review by Anthony
This was the watch that first brought me to CW, but I have only just got around to buying it, (a couple of C60's ended up being first). Let me start by saying this watch contrasts nicely with the bold and weighty C60. The overall size and the leather strap help here. On first glance the visual links to the classic pilot watch are obvious. This watch has some modern, and very appealing twists though, not least of which are the applied metal numerals as opposed to the usual painted ones. This really gives the face a classy look. Along with the arrow at 12 o'clock and the chapter ring though, the watch is undeniably classic. This is really a watch that you can wear comfortably everyday. People comment on the 'old fashioned watch', not realising that it is an accurate modern day classic. To me this indicates the makers have done a superb job of blending the old with the new. If the styling appeals to you, you really cannot go wrong with this beauty!
Great Aviator Watch
Review by Mike B
Purchased my C10 towards the end of 2013 so have now had time to make a considered review. Overall I am extremely pleased with the watch. It keeps excellent time and looks fantastic, even on my skinny wrist. As others have mentioned the clasp mechanism takes a little getting used to, particularly with the proximity of the first loop. If worn loosely you could find that the large crown rubs your skin. These are minor things so overall I wholeheartedly recommend the C10.
Great watch
Review by Matt Phelps
Have just recieved this watch and it is great, my first real watch besides simple casio's and a swatch. Good weight, the clasp is a bit tricky to get used to, but I am sure it'll grow on me in time. Overall I am really pleased with this watch, proud of my purchase.
