The Russell Collection
Thomas Russell's famous "Hunter" pocket watch design was the inspiration for this homage to my favourite English watchmaker. Indeed, it was a Russell "Hunter" that became my first ever restoration. I love the unusually elegant form of the blued hands, the trademark CW two-piece metal dial and I am thrilled with our new mulberry brown shade of dial shade which adds a sumptuous warmth, particularly with the gold case. The genuine Italian leather strap with deployment completes, what is for me, a truly luxurious watch in the grand style and one that I hope you agree does justice to the fine watchmaker from whom it takes its name.
Royal patronage was bestowed on Russell by Queen Victoria who was a fan of this Liverpool based watchmaker and as I am from the same city (my old school, Prescot Grammar, being adjacent to the site of one of his workshops) I can only hope that similar recognition will follow. Are you listening ma'm? NB: There is a shot of my restored "Hunter" in the gallery section
