The design of the Christopher Ward C8 Pilot MK II owes much to the requests from members of the independent Christopher Ward Forum. Customers, fans and watch enthusiasts particularly those that collect aviation watches championed the retro design and asked for wider luminous hands so they were more clearly visible at night. The watch also has a soft-iron anti-magnetic cage inside the outer case to protect the movement from electrical interference.


Like the C5 Malvern Aviator MK II, the C8 is inspired by the iconic B-Uhr watches used by the Luftwaffe in the late 1930s and then the RAF. It also shares the same automatic movement the famous ETA 2824-2 / Sellita SW200-1 partly which can be seen through an exhibition window. The result is a watch that combines an outstanding contemporary specification with a design that reminds us of a period in history when clarity, simplicity and accuracy were absolutely critical.
